About Your Business

We work with all business types, including:

  • Sole traders
  • Partnerships
  • Limited companies
  • PLCs
  • Charities and not-for-profits

We’ll ask for:

  • Your company name
  • Your registration number (if applicable)

Our system connects directly to Companies House, so most details fill in automatically.

We’ll then need documents for the relevant people:

  • Limited companies: All Persons with Significant Control (PSCs)
  • Sole traders:Just you
  • Partnerships: All partners
  • Charities: Usually three trustees

How It Works

All clients get access to our secure onboarding portal at the start of their journey. From there, everything is managed in one place, including your verification documents and copies of your post.

  • You’ll be asked a few quick questions and prompted to upload or live-capture your documents directly from your mobile or laptop.
  • You’ll also be asked to complete a liveness selfie check to confirm your identity.

The process is simple, secure, and usually takes just a few minutes to complete. Most verifications are approved the same day.

Once everything’s checked, you’ll receive:

  • A confirmation email with your activation notice, and
  • Your full address details for use.

If we need anything extra, we’ll email you right away.

Overseas Clients

If your business or owners are based overseas, no problem.

We just need a few additional details:

  • Proof of ownership structure
  • Photo ID and Proof of Address for the relevant individuals

Please note: we cannot accept orders from businesses or individuals based in FATF-listed countries. You can check the current black and grey lists here.

Important Information

  • Your subscription starts upon order, even while onboarding is in progress.
  • To avoid unnecessary charges, please complete onboarding as soon as possible.
  • If your application fails AML checks, unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund.
  • You must not use the address until you have completed the onboarding process and received confirmation to do so.
  • Please do not email ID or verification documents. Uploads made via this portal are encrypted and stored securely in the UK in accordance with UK GDPR and AML Regulations. If you choose to send documents by email, this will be at your own risk and outside our secure systems.

We aim to make the process as fast and painless as possible, and we’re always happy to help if you need support.

Onboarding FAQ's

Do I need proof of ID to set up a virtual office or registered office address?

Yes. We’re legally obliged to collect copies of one photo ID and proof of your home address from a utility bill for AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks.

You will be asked to take a selfie with your ID (your face must be clearly visible). You can use a driving licence, passport, or other Government-issued photo ID as proof of identification.

See a full list of acceptable documents.

How long does it take to set up my virtual address?

You can sign up for a virtual office or registered office address in just two minutes. Set-up is completed once our mandatory AML checks are completed.

Do you provide support for international businesses?

We proudly support international businesses.

Whether you’re expanding into the UK or setting up a new company from overseas, we’re here to help you get started smoothly. We offer virtual office and registered office addresses, with mail scanning and post forwarding services to suit international clients.

What do I need to provide during onboarding if I’m based overseas?

If your company, directors, or owners are outside the UK, you’ll need to provide translated and (in some cases) certified or notarised documents as part of our AML checks. This helps us confirm your identity and meet UK compliance rules.

See full details here.

Who counts as a Beneficial Owner (UBO)?

Explains that any individual owning 25% or more of a business (directly or indirectly) is a UBO, including layered ownership, trusts, and nominee arrangements.

When do I need to resubmit my ID or proof of address (POA)?

To stay compliant with UK Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, we’re required to make sure client ID and proof of address documents stay current and valid.
This process is called ongoing monitoring, which helps protect both your business and ours from fraud or misuse.

Understand more about our ongoing monitoring here.

Why am I being asked for another document?

Don’t worry, this is completely normal!
Sometimes we need a little extra information to finish verifying your details.
It doesn’t mean there’s a problem,  just that something in your documents needs a quick check or confirmation before we can activate your account.

Understand all the reasons here.
